Seow Jun Shi is a passionate and accomplished Dizi musician who blends traditional Chinese music with modern influences. He began learning the Dizi at the age of 7 and has since developed a strong musical foundation through professional training with renowned masters such as Zeng Zhi and Ma Di.

He served as the Student Conductor of the Pasir Ris Secondary School Chinese Orchestra in 2019 and was a member of the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra (SNYCO) from 2018 to 2021. During his time with SNYCO, he represented Singapore in a performance tour in China in 2019. He also performed with the SUTD Chinese Orchestra and returned to SNYCO for a special performance in 2022. Most recently, he was featured in the SNYCO Alumni Concert in 2024.

In addition to his orchestral experiences, Jun Shi regularly performs the Dizi at church events, showcasing his versatility across both traditional and contemporary settings.

Currently, he is pursuing his studies at LASALLE College of the Arts, further refining his artistic and musical skills.

With extensive solo and ensemble experience, including international performances, Jun Shi demonstrates strong musical leadership in both conducting and collaborative work. He remains committed to cultural exchange and musical fusion, using music as a powerful tool to connect traditions with modern expression.
